This project is as interesting as it is creative, so much to learn, but then again i feel the result will be well worth the effort. The theme is based on the record album cover ” wreck & ruin” from Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson…..

This is a reproduction of the graphic onto the surface of 4-5oz veg tanned cow hide, the design is then hand carved using some unique home made tools and stamped with a series of standard leather working forming tools to create a unique depth and feel to the image…. from there we use a quality water-based paint in an attempt to create the ambiance of the original image…. stay tuned for progress…..

…… well the project of Tattooling the leather is now complete, the above images show the progress from tooling in the design to completing the colour. This technique creates a stunning finish that is durable and unique. We are currently working on packaging up a complete Tattooling Kit that will be available from KeableLeather.com.au.

Our kits will include all you require to complete a project using this technique inclusive of Instructions, Paint, Brushes, a Transfer Design and a leather kit ready to assemble once tattooling is complete.
